A full-time bachelor's degree can be pursued within 3 years generally. You will be awarded honours if you can pass all years of study with at least a third class. Although most UG programs last 3 years, some universities offer short term courses with 1 or 2 years duration. Different levels show the duration of your degree. Level 6 is the honours level that can be attained through completing a full-time UG course.

Most masters’ programmes can be completed in just one year. You can either choose to further sharpen your knowledge in the UG subject or try a different subject for a master's. You can own in-depth knowledge about the subject after your thesis and internships. Some masters’ programmes available are MSc (Master of Science) and MA (Master of Arts). MFA (Master of Fine Arts), MEng (Master of Engineering), MArch (Master of Architecture), LLM (Master of Laws), MBA are some other PG courses from the bunch. Placement and Internship opportunities are also available with most of the PG courses.

This is a stand-alone degree that consists of academic study and work-based learning with an employer. This 2-year degree is equivalent to the first two years of a full-time UG degree.

Foundation course: One-year preparation course designed for international students preparing to study in the UK. This allows them to bridge the gap in their language proficiency and academics.

International Year 1 (IY1 Diploma): Designed for international students who do not meet the academic grades and/or English level to enter the university for a UG programme. This leads the student to the second year of the degree.

HND

A Higher National Diploma (HND) is a level 5 qualification. Level 5 refers to the courses equivalent to the first two years of a full-time bachelor's degree. HNDs are courses that give prime importance to practical learning. Students can join the 3rd year of UG after completing HND.

HNC

A Higher National Certificate (HNC) is a level 4 vocational qualification with a one-year duration. These courses are equivalent to the first year of a bachelor's.

One year program which is equivalent to the final year of a Bachelor’s degree. These programs allow students to top up their HND or foundation degree and attain an honours degree. Please be informed that students opting for top-up programs will not be eligible for the Post Study Work Visa.

Pre-Masters program is designed for international students who do not meet the academic and language requirements for a PG degree. If you wish to improve and develop your English, academics and seminar skills ahead of a Master's degree, pre-masters is for you! Course duration varies from ten to twelve weeks. These courses prepare students for high-quality education and successful completion of a Master’s degree.

Process of getting credits for the courses already completed successfully. When students decide to switch the program to another university or do a different program, credits are transferred to the new program. Values of credits are given based on the similarity of both programs. This facility is also known as advanced standing.

• Students who are looking to pursue a UG program can apply through UCAS. UCAS is the only medium to apply for an undergraduate degree in any of the UK universities.
• PG programs follow a different method for the application process. Each university follows its procedures and policies for the admission process. PG students can apply through the universities’ online portal or a representative.

While registering with UCAS, you will need to fill in the application form and write a personal statement that best defines you. You should present yourself as a potential candidate and try to showcase yourself in the best way to stand out from the crowd. Explain your strengths, skills and interests, achievements and reasons that will make you eligible for the program. You need to produce a reference letter to confirm your eligibility to do the course.

International students are required to pay a fee to avail the healthcare services of the UK. This fee is known as Healthcare Surcharge. This fee is paid directly to the National Health Service (NHS) and enables migrants the same access to the NHS as UK citizens. Partial or full refund of Surcharge is possible in certain scenarios. Refunds will be automatically credited to your account.

You will be entitled to full refund if:
