Pre-requisites: Advanced Maths Successful completion of subjects equivalent to Australian Year 12 mathematics that includes topics in algebra, calculus,circular (trigonometric) functions, coordinate geometry, probability and statistics. Please Check the website for additional details. Extra requirements: Prior to selection, it is recommended that candidates complete a pilot aptitude skills assessment test. Such tests are conducted by CAE Oxford Aviation Academy. This could be at CAE OAA Melbourne or could be undertaken at a CAE OAA facility outside Australia. They are designed to determine a candidate's understanding of a career as a professional pilot and their suitability to undertake the program.The skills assessment test is typically composed of a series of computer-based assessments that cover pilot aptitude, including hand–eye coordination, motor skills and spatial awareness.Although not an entry requirement, students must also satisfy the statutory Class 1 medical requirements of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (or equivalent ICAO State regulatory authority) prior to undertaking practical flying training (AVF practicum units).
