Entrance to the programme requires minimum 65% in degree or equivalent in Physics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline. In special circumstances, students with a strong physics background and lower second class honours degree may be accepted.

A minimum score of 90 is required in the Internet based TOEFL (iBT) with no less than 21 in writing and at least 19 in every other section. DET score of 120 is required with at least 110 in each subscore.
